This year marks 20 years of Medialab. Two decades of doing the right thing, putting people first, and building something different, together. And this year, the work, care, and commitment from every Medialabber has been recognised in the best way imaginable.
I’m genuinely proud to share that Medialab has been named Media Week’s Independent Media Agency of the Year 2025, following our earlier recognition as Campaign UK’s Agency of the Year back in March.
It’s hard to put into words how much this means. The Media Week judges called our story “exceptional,” highlighting the balance we strike between values and business outcomes. They saw us as a “genuinely future-facing” agency, different to the networks, while staying true to a “people-first culture.” That sort of feedback hits home, because it speaks to the choices we’ve made, not just this year, but over two decades.
But this isn’t just about the trophies. It’s about what they represent.
It’s a moment that celebrates the depth of belief and energy that’s been put in by every person here. A moment that speaks to our independence, not just in structure, but in spirit. We’ve never chased the shortcut. We’ve stayed focused on what matters: people, partnerships, performance and purpose.
This recognition tells the world what we’ve always known internally, that you can ‘do the right thing’, and still deliver outstanding commercial results. That values and success aren’t trade-offs, but bedfellows.
So as we mark 20 years, let’s not just celebrate the awards. Let’s celebrate the people. Let’s recognise the shared belief, the mutual respect, the trust we’ve built with our clients, and the culture that continues to set us apart.
We’re only just getting started.
Here’s to what’s next, and to raising a glass, together.
