As featured on Campaign, Medialab has been appointed by wealth and asset management firm Rathbones Group, as its media planning and buying agency, following a competitive pitch process.
It follows the firm’s rebrand and the launch of a new purpose: “Invest well. Live well,” a name change from Rathbone Brothers to Rathbones Group, and a refreshed brand identity.
The appointment of Medialab was led by Iain Clark, director of marketing and client strategy for Rathbones Group, and supported by The Aperto Partnership.
Charles Batchelor, client managing director for Medialab, said: “It’s a genuine privilege to be partnering with Rathbones. They are ambitious and values-driven with a hunger to use marketing to drive brand and commercial value.”
Simonetta Rigo, chief client officer at Rathbones Group, said: “With the rapid pace of change in the media landscape and evolution of our data-led marketing approach, we need the right media agency model to match our ambitions.
“We were very impressed with the thinking and commitment from the agencies that took part in the review and are looking forward to working with Medialab to drive the next phase of our journey.”
