Account Manager

Location: London, UK

Department: Planning
Type: Full time

Medialab is a unique independent data marketing partnership and the fastest growing company in the Top 50 Media Agencies, in Campaign Magazine’s ‘School Report’ 2021. Offering media, marketing, digital and data services to a wide variety of clients, we’re a team of around 100 (and growing), based near Oxford Circus (although we are all working from home at the moment, due to Covid-19).

Fundamentally, we believe the best business decisions are made when they are informed by data. Data is our heritage and has been at the heart of our business since its inception over fifteen years ago. We encourage, educate and help clients to use data in the most insightful way to plan and buy across all media channels and deliver the right media solutions for business success.

We’re independently owned, which means there are no limits to what you can achieve. We’re also known as market-leaders in our field, and we have a very happy client base which we’re proud of, including major brands such as Laithwaite’s Wine and SunLife as well as several charities, including The National Trust, Guide Dogs Association for the Blind, Alzheimer’s Society and Mind.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to join one of our fast paced, growing client teams. This will be an integral role, requiring a broad blend of skills, including a strong understanding in how to plan and execute across a range of media channels, as well as a working understanding of data analysis and insight techniques, and a competent knowledge of general marketing and creative processes. The role has significant room for growth and career progression with training provided to cover any knowledge gaps.

The key responsibility will be looking after important Medialab clients across the non-profit and charity sector, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all media planning across offline and digital channels. The role will require a strong understanding of broader media activity and how the channel mix works together to drive performance metrics.

This position offers a chance to grow and develop digital skills though channel and audience testing, fundamentally driving media strategy for the client. The role requires close working with the other channel planners to develop an integrated strategy.

The role is in a fast-growing client team and offers the individual the opportunity to work on a range of clients with different challenges, with the fundamental aim of helping them grow.

  • Experience of a range of performance driving channels, at least one of either DRTV and/or Paid Social
  • Knowledge across key tracking platforms, including but not limited to Google Analytics
  • Ability to create highly detailed excel media plans
  • Ability to communicate complex topics with clarity, confidence, and conviction, to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
  • Highly numerate
  • Experience keeping to deadlines during busy times
  • Adept at juggling multiple projects for multiple stake holders

What to expect from us;

  • Competitive Salary package
  • 25 days holiday (including office closure between Christmas and New Year) + your birthday off
