After a strong year for Medialab, and having been the fastest growing company for a second year running in the Campaign School Report of the top 50 businesses ranked by media billings, Medialab have appointed two new roles as they invest in their digital and data offering. Moving from his previous role within the company as Chief Planning Officer, Will Davis now steps into a new role as Chief Data Officer. Medialab have also appointed former Performics Performance Business Director, Eleanor Hill, as their Director of Digital Performance, in another newly created position.

As Chief Data Officer, Will Davis will continue to develop and lead Medialab’s data service, product and expertise, as well as their data marketing platform, Apollo. Apollo sits at the heart of how Medialab help their partners gain and grow valuable customers, by maximising the effectiveness of campaigns. Since joining Will has been instrumental in building the Medialab data driven planning proposition, which has led to major client wins and significant year on year growth. The appointment reinvigorates Medialab’s commitment to continued growth within the industry, that is built upon a data centric approach.

Also supporting this approach is new Director of Digital Performance, Eleanor Hill. Eleanor will play a vital leadership role in accelerating and broadening the significant digital capability within the business. Eleanor brings incredibly strong digital marketing, media and operations experience, spanning a successful career at specialist digital performance and search agency, Periscopix (that evolved into Merkle), Performics, and Zenith, where she led some of the largest performance clients including Next, Aviva, Toyota, Oracle (EMEA), RBS and EntertainmentOne. Most recently Eleanor led the marketing, media and commerce propositions for Low Profile, the business owned by one of the ‘Dragons’ on Dragons Den, Touker Suleyman.

Commenting on the appointments Chief Executive Officer, Marcus Orme, said, “Introducing the role of Chief Data Officer with Will taking this on is incredibly exciting. It says a lot about the strategic direction of Medialab, for which we have the fullest confidence in Will to spearhead. We are also incredibly lucky to have Eleanor join the Medialab team – her deep technical knowledge and absolute commitment to collaboration and building client relationships will be an invaluable asset.”
